Tom Shamberger, Chief Business Officer

Tom Shamberger, a native of Morgantown, West Virginia, works at West Virginia University, serving as the Chief Business Officer for the Administration and Finance Division. Tom is a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating from college, Tom worked in Fairmont, West Virginia and Logan, West Virginia. Tom returned to Morgantown and has been with West Virginia University for 29 years. Prior to his current position, he served WVU as the Business Officer for the School of Pharmacy, and Business Manager for Transportation Services.

Tom has been involved with many community organizations. Tom was on the Board of Directors of the Visiting Homemaker Service of Morgantown, serving a term as president and served as Treasurer and Board Member for Morgantown Hospice. For the City of Morgantown, Tom served on the Traffic Commission for five years and currently is on the Board of Zoning appeals. Currently, he is on a regional advisory board for AAA. At West Virginia University, Tom also served as Chapter Advisor for the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Tom is married to Martha (Marti) Shamberger. Marti and Tom have two children; Caroline, who is a student at Morgantown High School and Logan, who is a Physics Major at West Virginia University.

Tom enjoys American history, particularly history of the Southwest. He has traveled, with his family, to the area on several occasions visiting sites of historical interest.
