The Risk Manager is responsible for maintaining property, liability, and auto insurance records for the University. This includes management of the claims process for each of these types of insurance coverage. The Risk Manager is the principal representative for the University to the West Virginia Board of Risk & Insurance Management (BRIM), WVU’s insurance provider.

The Risk Manager acts in an advisory and consultative capacity to faculty and staff for matters concerning insurance coverage; contract language specific to insurance requirements; and acceptable levels of risk associated with planned or proposed University activities. This service extends to the Potomac State and WVU Tech Regional Campuses; the Community and Technical Colleges at Parkersburg and Montgomery; all county Extension Agents and offices; and the WVU Farms.
