Michael Gansor is the Risk Manager at West Virginia University, a position he has held since 1997. Prior to that, he worked for nine years as a commercial accounts manager for an independent insurance agency. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from WVU. In addition to that, he holds the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter); ARM (Associate in Risk Management); AU (Associate in Underwriting); AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance); and AFSB (Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding) designations; which are professional risk management and insurance designations from the Institutes (The American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters & The Insurance Institute of America). Gansor represents WVU as a member of the CPCU Society (Allegheny Chapter, Pittsburgh) and RIMS (Risk Management & Insurance Society, Pittsburgh Chapter). Gansor also represents WVU as the primary member of URMIA (University Risk Management and Insurance Association), currently serving as the Parliamentarian on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
